CLIENT
The Amala Foundation sponsors The Austin Global Youth Peace Summit, a week-long leadership camp held in Austin for local and international teenagers. The next generation of leaders participate in enriching activities alongside people and cultures different from their own. Focus areas include personal growth, healing, leadership skills, and community building.
Challenge
Create a new brand system, digital touchpoints, and printed assets to promote the youth leadership camp.
audience
The Summit unites over 80 teenagers ages 14 - 17 from over 25 countries. Parents, guardians, and event sponsors are also considered.
slogan
“There’s more to see at The Summit.”
Our tagline plays off the name and purpose of the camp. It refers to both a physical change of view from a mountaintop, and an internal shift of perspective that students experience during their time at The Summit.
IDENTITY
A badge-like trademark works to unify the camp with its attendees — much like boy scouts or girl scouts organizations. We preference tested colors with Austin teens and learned that regardless of gender, these untraditional colors were preferred and viewed as trendy. As for font pairings, we opted for a playful set to match the energy of our color palette and young audience.
Mobile & Web

To promote the leadership camp, students, their parents or guardians, and sponsors can visit our website and app. There they can get informed, register for the camp, and sign up for our monthly zines. These touchpoints also serve to raise excitement for the events to come.

Monthly Zine
Monthly zines known as “Sum it Up” feature easy-to-digest content. Each zine is bound by a theme and includes facts, statistics, a teenage activist spotlight, and a message of empowerment for the reader to make a difference. The backside can be unfolded and treated like a poster for display. Each zine includes a themed sticker set.
